Abstract

PURPOSE:To display the whole retrieving document or one part of the document in correspondence to a designating character string by retrieving the document to have the character string to be designated in a designated section in the stored document when the section in the document and the character string are designated. CONSTITUTION:At first, an operator designates a section 'cause' from a section designating part 1. Next, a character string 'in favor of the yen' is designated. Then, a document retrieving part 4 retrieves the document to have the character string 'in favor of the yen' to be designated by a character string designating part 2 in the section 'cause' to be designated by the section designating part 1 in the respective documents which are stored in a character storing part 3. The retrieved result goes to be the three documents of (a), (b) and (c) out of the four documents of (a), (b), (c) and (d) in the figure. Next, a retrieved result display part 5 displays the character string to be stored in a section 'result' except for the section 'cause' of the respective documents, which is the retrieved result of the document retrieving part 4, in correspondence to the character string 'in favor of the yen' to be designated by the character string designating part 2.
