Abstract

CONSTITUTION:A mixing circuit 14 mixes a luminance signal FM signal and a low frequency conversion chrominance signal and outputs the result to a recording amplifier 18. The mixed signal is amplified at the amplifier 18 by a prescribed amplification factor and recorded on a magnetic tape 1 through video heads 5, 6. The amplifier 18 is controlled into three stages; the 1st amplification factor in reducing the recording current at the termination of the already recorded part more at the normal recording, the 2nd amplification factor at the normal recording and the 3rd amplification factor in recording the start of the part recorded newly depending on a command of a system microcomputer 21. Thus, the recording current to the chrominance signal at the end of the already recorded is reduced and recorded in advance to prevent noise at reproduction.
