Abstract
PURPOSE:To elongate the service life and improve the reliability of a rolling bearing by providing seal members each of whose one-side ends is supported by one end of either inner or outer ring and the other end thereof is provided opposingly to the other ring, and also, providing a mechanism for sandwiching the other ends of the seal member. CONSTITUTION:Seal members 14, 14 are provided on both ends of an outer ring 10, while respective one-side ends of the members 14, 14 are provided to the supported by the outer ring 10 and the other ends thereof are arranged opposingly to an inner ring 11. Stepped parts 11a which compose sandwiching mechanisms are formed on the part of the inner ring 11 other than sliding contact faces for balls to house the other ends of the seal members 14, 14 and rotatably sandwich them by means of sandwich members 15, 15 projected from the bottom faces of the stepped parts 11a. Dust 16 generated outside is therefore prevented from entering inside by means of the seal members 14, 14, the stepped parts 11a, and the sandwich members 15, 15 so that the damage of the outer and inner rings 10, 11 to be caused by the dust 16 is surely prevented. It is thus possible to elongate the service life of the bearing and to improve the reliability thereof.
