Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve cooling efficiency of a side by side radiator by providing a shroud which has the first and the second circular cross-sectional openings and attaching the first and the second axial flow fans which are driven by an engine at the circular cross-sectional openings. CONSTITUTION: Axial flow fans 12, 13 are attached at a radiator whose width is set larger than its height by attaching members 37-42 with overlapping in the lateral direction. Blades 14-16 of the axial flow fan 12 is attached to a driving shaft 21 of an electric motor 22 and the axial flow fan 13 is driven by a pulley 23, a pulley 32 and a driving belt 36, then the axial flow fans 12, 13 are driven in the opposite directions each other. The axial flow fans 12, 13 are located in ring shrouds 46, 47 and air is diverted by a pre-rotating vane 50.
