Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a polyolefin granule impregnated with a crosslinking agent, effective in minimizing the generation of polyolefin dust and having no adverse effect on the crosslinking reaction of polyolefin, by charging a crosslinking agent which is liquid at normal temperature to polyolefin granules and agitating at a high speed to effect impregnation of the crosslinking agent. CONSTITUTION:For example, dicumyl peroxide (a solid crosslinking agent having a melting point of 39 deg.C) is liquefied by dissolving in triallyl isocyanurate (melting point: 39 deg.C) used as a crosslinking assistant at normal temperature (>=23 deg.C). 100pts.wt. of polyolefin granules or polyolefin component granules are compounded with preferably 2pts.wt. of said liquid crosslinking agent and stirred at a high speed to obtain the objective polyolefin granules impregnated with the crosslinking agent while suppressing the deterioration of the product.
