Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent wrinkles on a product and unevenness on the end face of a winding roll by operating the actual change of a diameter with respect to the expected value of change of the diameter of the winding roll and controlling a pressurizing value to a rider roll. CONSTITUTION:The sum of the deviation between a winding-roll diameter signal 10a and a pattern signal 14a and a roll diameter at that time is obtained by a computing element 15 and, with the resultant output value as the reference signal of roll diameter, a pressurizing signal to a rider roll 16 is obtained by a pressurization computing element 9. Since a winding hardness is determined by a line pressure at which a winding roll 3 is pressed against driving rolls 4, 5, the pressurization computing element 9 obtains the pressurizing signal so as to be a desired line pressure, with the reference signal of winding diameter from the amplifier 15 as an input. The pressurization computing element 9 controls the opening of a control valve 8 through the operation, thereby, regulating the pressure of a cylinder 19 to effect a desired winding hardness.
