Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable a high-speed printing process with a construction of a small-capacity page memory and to enable a reprinting process without the need for data-refeed in the occurrence of abnormality, by a construction wherein printing data has been stored in logic page data form until a paper is discharged from a printer. CONSTITUTION:With the reception of printing data from a host equipment, the writing into a memory 2 in free states is started per logic page. After the completion of receiving the printing data for one page, the memory 2 turns into a drawing waiting state wherein logic page data for a plurality of pages can be cued. A main processor 1 pattern-develops the logic page data on a physical page memory 6 and issues it to a printer 8 as printing image data. Only when all the printing image data for one page is issued to the printer 8 and in a paper discharge waiting state a paper is discharged from a discharge port, the logic data of the appropriate page which has been stored until then is released. Namely, the printing data received from the host equipment has been stored in a logic data form until the information thereof is printed and discharged.
