Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the welding strength of ultrasonic wave welding process, while the scattering of the fluid in a vessel is prevented, by a method in which a brimlike horizontal part is formed on the outer peripheral edge of the vessel body, and a cover member hangs down on the tip of said brimlike horizontal part, and then the contact surface with an ultrasonic wave horn is provided on the upper surface of the horizontal part, and further the protrusions as double welding ribs are formed on the under surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:The object 3 to be welded is hanged from a receiving jig 2 and is held there, and an annular recessed portion 2b is provided on the upper surface of the jig. In welding, ultrasonic wave vibration is transmitted to a cover member 5 by way of the contact surface 12 with an ultrasonic wave horn and further is transmitted to the horizontal part 6 of a vessel body 4 by way of the protrusions 11a, 11b as welding ribs. The protrusion 11a prevent the scattering of inner liquid, and the protrusion 11b is welded on the upper surface of the horizontal part 6 of the body 4. The hanging part 10 of the cover member 5 prevents its protruding out due to the melting of the protrusion 11b from its flowing out, thereby increasing its welding strength.
