Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the optimum max. Doppler signal at all of the regions in an object to be examined without raising transmitting ultrasonic output, by mounting a means detecting the amplitude of a receiving reflected wave signal, a memory means, a means selecting the memory means, a control means for generating transmitting and receiving signals, a means generating a transmitting signal and a means generating a demodulation carrier wave. CONSTITUTION:The ultrasonic wave reflected from the reflecting body in an object to be examined is inputted to a receiving amplifier 4 and an amplitude detecting circuit 5 to be amplified. The amplitude detecting circuit 5 inputs the amplitude data relating to the max. amplitude obtained from the amplified signal to a control circuit 6 which in turn inputs a control signal generating the frequency corresponding to the max. amplitude of the reflected wave by the aforementioned amplitude data to a transmitting waveform generating circuit 1 and a demodulation carrier wave generating circuit 7 within a stored frequency variable range by a probe 3. The transmitting waveform generating circuit 1 alters transmitting frequency on the basis of the control signal from the control circuit 6 to input the same to the probe 3 through a transmitting amplifier 2 and the probe 3 transmits a wave at the altered frequency. The demodulation carrier wave generating circuit 7 is controlled by the control circuit 6 to generate a demodulation carrier wave having the same frequency as transmission frequency and Doppler signal detection circuit 8 detects only a Doppler signal to output the same.
