Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it possible to uniformly, safely and efficiently press bond shoe uppers by combining a low-pressure water supply/discharge mechanism and a high-pressure water supply mechanism and covering the rubber each by net-like bags. CONSTITUTION: Freely stretchable rubber backs 3 formed smaller than the surface areas of the uppers 2 mounted at lasts 1 are built into a pressure vessel 4 and the peripheral edges of the openings 41 of these rubber backs 3 are hermetically detained to the peripheral edges of the opening 41 of the pressure vessel 4. The water feed to the pressure vessel 4 is first rapidly and smoothly executed by the low-pressure water supply/discharge mechanism 7. The rapid increasing of the feed water pressure is then executed by the high-pressure water supply mechanism 8. Further, draining is rapidly executed by a pump 10 for water. The rubber backs 3 are covered by net-like bags 9 and are uniformly expanded. As a result, the failure of the rubber backs 3 is eliminated and the press bonding of the parts to the uppers 2 is ensured. The loading and removing of the uppers 2 are thus extremely facilitated.
