PURPOSE:To sense the images of two visual fields through one image sensing means without lowering resolution by coupling the images of two image sensing sections at mutually separate positions in an object to be measured by using a prism and synthesizing only required sections at a close position with the exception of unnecessary sections. CONSTITUTION:Light projected into a prism 3 from a side face 3a is hardly refracted, is transmitted through the side face 3a and rectilinearly propagates in the prism 3, and is projected from the inside of the prism 3 to an adjacent side face 3b. An incident angle at that time extends over approximately 60 deg., incident light is total-reflected, light emitted to the outside of the prism 3 is condensed by an object lens 6 arranged where separate at a fixed distance from the prism 3, and in silhouette image 1a' only of the left side section 1a of an object to be measured 1 is image-formed to an image sensing means body 5.
