Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an automobile interior trim material attempting good design and high grade by spreading a sheet of fiber cloth on the surface of a formed base material and masking a part of the cloth to partly change the color by means of the spraying or coating of an urethane coating. CONSTITUTION:A sheet of fiber cloth 2 dyed in beige of raising tricot in which polyester filaments are used is spread on the surface of the formed base material 1 of, e.g., an automobile ceiling material which is formed in a prescribed recessed/projecting shape via an urethane layer by means of vacuum bonding. In order to change the color in the front part 4 of a border line 3 into a dark brown, masking 5 is applied to the rear part and an urethane coating is sprayed or coated. Thereby, an automobile interior trim material such as a ceiling material, a door trim material, etc. having no color deviation while attempting good design and high grade can be obtained with a simple method, as compared with the method of spreading each sheet of fiber cloth of different colors.
