Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce a quantity of liquid nitrogen consumption and obtain good quality concrete, by a method wherein unused gas of the liquid nitrogen generated during a manufacturing process of concrete is recovered, kneading water is cooled by bringing the unused gas into contact with the kneading water and the cooled kneading water is fed to a mixer along with the cement and aggregate. CONSTITUTION:Unused gas of liquid nitrogen to be blown into water during manufacturing of concrete exhibits a sufficiently low temperature such as -90 deg.C, the unused gas is recovered through a pipe 4 and discharged into kneading water in a reservoir 6. The discharge is performed extending over almost the whole sphere of the reservoir 6 through a filtering device 5. With this construction, a temperature of the water in the reservoir 6 is drastically lowered and the water is fed into a mixer 3 in a closed chamber 1 along with cement and aggregate, which greatly contributes to cooling of the concrete. Since the unused gas causes dissolved oxygen to disperse in the open air by precipitating the same efficiently, the water is sent out to the mixer 3 by a pump 8 as a low oxygen kneading water. Therefore, oxygen content in the subject concrete is reduced and corrosion resistant effect to a reinforcing rod of a structure to be built becomes excellent.
