Abstract
PURPOSE:To cool each section of a rotary electric machine, to miniaturize the whole of the machine and to improve efficiency by placing a magnetoguide ring and a magnetoguide ring support on a cooling fan side. CONSTITUTION:A magnetoguide ring 6 is placed so as to bring into contact with the side of a cooling fan 11 at an electromagnetic coil 5, and supports the electromagnetic coil 5, and at the same time, it constitutes a part of the magnetic path. The voids are formed between the periphery of the magnetoguide ring 6 and the internal circumference of a magnetic pole 4, and between the internal circumference of the magnetoguide ring 6 and the periphery of a yoke 15. A magnetoguide ring support 7 is also placed on the side of the cooling fan 11, and is fixed to a boss section of an end bracket 9 to hold the magnetoguide ring 6. Cooling wind from the cooling fan 11 is blown toward the magnetic pole 4 and a cylindrical void (a) of its internal and external perimeters passing through an air space (b) between an end cover 10 and the external diameter of a fan base 11'. One part of cooling wind flows through between the internal circumference of a housing 1 and the periphery of an armature, and the other part goes through the void formed between the internal and the external perimeters of the magnetic pole 4, and every section of the rotary electric machine is cooled.
