Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a blended yarn fabric with the same feeling as those of pure wool products, excellent in bulkiness, wrinkleproofness, wear resistance and pilling resistance by weaving blended yarns comprising wool of a specific fiber length and polyester conjugate fibers each composed of two components differing in melting point from each other followed by scouring and then blowing treatment. CONSTITUTION: This blended yarn fabric is obtained by the following procedure: first, a woven fabric is produced by weaving blended yarns each of which is prepared by blending (A) wool 80-120 mm in fiber length and 18-24 μm in fineness and (B) polyester conjugate fibers each 80-120 mm in fiber length and 2-4.5 denier in single fiber fineness each composed of a high-viscosity polyester component and low-viscosity polyester component with the low-viscosity component exposed in greater amounts than the high-viscosity component onto the fiber surface in the weight ratio A/B of (15:85) to (85:15); subsequently the woven fabric thus produced is subjected to scouring treatment followed by blowing treatment at a temp. of 105-115 deg.C.
