Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a speaker also sering as a lighting device which visually and audibly enhances an atmosphere with its harmonized appearance with surroundings by providing a speaker unit, a reflector and a lighting unit inside of a cylindrical body whose upper end is closed from the upper side, and providing a sound emitting part and a light transmission part at the side surface thereof. CONSTITUTION: A columnar cylindrical body C comprises a cap 1 at the upper end, a medium cylindrical body 2 at the lower part having a light transmission part 2A and a body 3 at the lower side, and has at the lowest part a flange 4 having a bolt hole 4A for mounting. A side surface of the cap 1 has a sound emission part 5 constructed of many holes, and a speaker 6 is enclosed to face downward in a ceiling space. A luminaire 7 is enclosed inside of the light transmission part 2A in a face-to-face relation with the speaker 6, and a conical and spherical reflector 8 is provided at the medium part to thereby effectively reflect sound and light in a horizontal direction. It is possible to obtain sharp sound and a good atmospheric illumination in a wide scope by dispersedly arranging the speaker-cum-luminaire devices in an outdoor square or an indoor hall.
