Abstract

PURPOSE:To discriminate '0', '1' of data determined according to the difference of the duty ratio of a control signal by making an up down counter perform an up down count operation according to high or low of the control signal of a servo, in the VTR of a VHS system. CONSTITUTION:When the control signal (CS) comes high, a reset signal generation circuit 2 generates a reset signal a little later than the leading edge of it, and resets the up down counter 1. Besides, when CS comes high, a strobe signal generation circuit 3 generates a strobe signal a little later, and outputs it to a storage circuit 4. This signal comes to be a timing earlier by the pulse width of a control clock. Next, the counter 1 up down counts according to high or low of CS at the timing of the control clock, and outputs a value to the circuit 4. Then, when the strobe signal is inputted, the circuit 4 reads the output of the counter 1, and decides '0', '1' of the data determined according to the difference of the duty ratio of CS, and outputs a result.
