Abstract

PURPOSE: To save the amount of use of gas and rapidly and uniformly heat a material to be heated by increasing the amount of injection of fluidized gas at an initial stage of temperature rise of the material, and gradually reducing the amount in the course of the temperature rise. CONSTITUTION: In an early stage of temperature rise of a material to be heated having a large difference between a set temperature in an arithmetic device 51 and an actually measured temperature of the material, the amount of injection of fluidized gas is increased and a heat transfer speed between fluidized particles 31 in a retort 14 is speeded up, whereby the material is rapidly heated. In the course of the temperature rise of the material that a difference between set temperature of the device 51 and the actually measured temperature of the material is reduced, the amount of injection of the gas is gradually reduced in response to the temperature difference and hence the amount of use of the gas is saved, whereby the material is uniformly heated to the set temperature. Further, the material is transferred to a furnace installed separately and kept at regulated temperature while a fluidized bed furnace is simultaneously used for heating of a new material to be heated. Hereby, the amount of the use of the gas is reduced and further the material is rapidly and uniformly heated.
