Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of power consumption due to the continuous heater operation and prevent the thermal deterioration of a reducing valve by disposing a thermostat for controlling the heater temperature in a position on the inner surface of the outer casing at its middle height level where it is exposed to heat from the boiler body. CONSTITUTION:A thermostat 7 is exposed to heat from the boiler body 1, and its contact points are switched off to switch off a heater to while the combustion is under way for the water heater. At this time, the feed water pipe 5 will not be frozen because of the thermal convection and conduction in the boiler body 1. That is, although the heater 10 is switched on when the outdoor temperature is low, it is switched off when the combustion is underway in the water heater so that the time of activating the heater 10 during the winter season can be reduced so as to reduce the power consumption charge to the minimum. Further, since the reducing valve 4 is disposed between the feed water opening 3 and the heater 10 near the boiler feed water opening 2, it is not directly exposed to the heat from the heater 10 even if the outdoor temperature is 10-40 deg.C, preventing its thermal deterioration.
