Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve efficiency of a compressor by positioning winding end outermost end parts of fixed and turning scrolls in the specific height and providing suction ports respectively in the vicinity of the winding end outermost end parts so that a pressure drop of compressed fluid and its overheat are suppressed. CONSTITUTION:A fixed scroll 6 and a turning scroll 7 form a compressing part 9 toward a meshing center part 8 of the scrolls. The scrolls 6, 7 are set to the height position of their meshing center part 8. A compressor forms suction ports 13, 14, sucking fluid to be compressed, respectively in the vicinity of winding end outermost end parts 10, 11 of the scrolls 6, 7. A distance from each suction port 13, 14 to suction start compressing parts 9a, 9b shortens. In this way, the compressor suppresses a pressure drop of compressed fluid and its overheat enhancing suction efficiency thus enabling compressor efficiency to be improved.
