Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily manufacture a sintered alloy having excellent wear resistance by subjecting the molded body consisting of Cr alloy powder and Fe alloy powder to main sintering while melting partially in liquid phase and regulating its pore ratio to specific one. CONSTITUTION:The Cr alloy powder which is dispersed and burried into a matrix to form into hard grains and the Fe metallic powder contg. the compound having low melting point are mixed; and the mixture is subjected to compression molding. Said molded body is heated to partially produce a liquid phase in low melting point component and the molded body is subjected to main sintering. By this method, the sintered alloy having <=5% pore ratio and having excellent high temp. wear resistance can be obtd. In the Cr alloy powder, the compsn. consisting of, by weight, 20-80% Cr, 5-30% W, 2-20% Mo, <=30% Fe, 0.5-7% C, <=1% inevitable impurities and the balance Co is preferably regulated. Said sintered alloy can be used as a valve seat, etc.
