Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable high speed cornering by controllably providing a speed reduction mechanism by air resistance on a front cowl installed on a main frame in a motor-bicycle in which a front frame and the main frame are connected to each other to freely oscillate. CONSTITUTION: As bank direction force is applied to a car body through a handle 11 by a driver at the time of cornering, a front frame 1 and a front wheel 4 oscillate about a connection shaft 1a through upper and lower swing arms 9, 10 and a steering shaft 6. In the meanwhile, a rear wheel 2 and a main frame 23 are freely capable of oscillation about the connection shaft la instead of banking. In this case, a screen B is disposed on a front cowl A to be rotatable about a rotation shaft D to compose a speed reduction mechanism S. At the time of cornering, a hydraulic cylinder E is actuated, and the rotation shaft D is rotated through a connection link F. A screen B is thus risen to enlarge its wind pressure area for improving speed reducing effect.
