Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a vehicle from abnormal start by judging whether or not a driver gets off from the outputs of a seat switch and door switch and turning off a clutch when an accelerator pedal is operated within a travelling range in judging that the driver gets off. CONSTITUTION:In an electronic controller 9, whether or not a selector 5 is within a N range is first checked from the output of a selector switch 6. When the selector is within NO range, a clutch 14 is turned off by an actuator 13. Next, whether or not an accelerator is turned on is checked by the output of an accelerator sensor 8, and whether or not a driver gets off is next judged from the outputs of a seat switch 2 and a door switch 4 when the accelerator is turned on. When here YES is judged, the clutch 14 is adapted not to be turned on. On the other hand, when the driver is judged to get in, i.e. NO is judged, the clutch 14 is controllably turned on along with steeping-in of an accelerator pedal.
