Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the title sheet to be affixed to various articles and products after an image is transferred thereto, by enabling a base part and an image-receiving sheet part to be released from each other, and applying a half-cut treatment to predetermined parts of the base part or the image-receiving sheet part. CONSTITUTION:A thermal transfer recording sheet 1 has a construction wherein a base part 8 comprising a releasable foamed sheet 2 and a release treatment layer 3 and an imagereceiving sheet 9 comprising a pressure sensitive adhesive layer 4, a sheet base 5 and an image-receiving layer 6 can be released from each other, end the base part 8 or the imagereceiving sheet part 9 is subjected to a half-cut treatment for providing cuts 7 piercing predetermined parts of the layer of the part 8 or 9. The half-cut treatment is carried out after laminating the thermal transfer recording sheet, by a commercially available die-cutting machine or the like while controlling the cutting depth. The number of the cuts, the kind of the cuts, the shape traced by the cuts and the like are appropriately set. After an image is transfer recorded, the base part 8 can be released from the image-receiving sheet part 9 easily and speedily. Therefore, when affixing of the sheet 1 is conducted by releasing only the base part corresponding to the relevant part, the image-receiving sheet part is supported by the remaining base part, which ensures convenient handling of the sheet.
