Abstract
PURPOSE:To equalize an offset-sampled signal on a reception side with invariably excellent characteristics by making an adjustment by an adjusting means until the difference between the output data of an extracting means and prescribed data becomes smaller than a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 7 inputs signal waveform data from the VIT extracting circuit 6 and compares it with previously stored ideal waveform data to compute a distortion quantity, and the variable tap of an equalizing filter 5 is controlled to generate an equalization correction quantity. This correction quantity is added by an adder 4 to a main line signal to equalize a transmission line. This adjustment is repeated until the difference between the output data of the circuit 6 and the ideal waveform data becomes smaller than the prescribed value. Consequently, the transmission line is equalized on a decoder side efficiency with the least scale.
