Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform a circuit conversion processing with a computer by describing designer's conversion knowledge in accordance with the rules of a simple form with respect to circuit conversion which is required when circuits having the same function are mounted by different technologies. CONSTITUTION:In a circuit conversion system using knowledge and rules, an inference driving part 5 is provided with a rule select information transmission means 30, which transmits information for the selection of subordinate conversion rules required for circuit conversion at the time of applying a conversion rule, and a rule selecting means 31 which receives this transmitted information to select required conversion rules. Further, a rule substituting means 23 is provided which substitutes the whole or a part of the condition part or the conclusion part of the conversion rule with conversion rules. A means which automatically picks up elements to be deleted based on conversion rules and consists of an application condition collating means 24 and a delete element storage means 2, an element deleting means 27 which deletes picked-up elements, and a means which automatically adds and registers elements appearing in the conclusion part of conversion rules are provided.
