Abstract
PURPOSE: To surely detect a fork insert port by detecting the right upper end of a reflection tape by one of two photoelectric sensors while crawlingly bringing down a fork, next detecting the left lower end by the other one, and constituting the fork to be raised by a fixed value when the difference of both height satisfies a set value. CONSTITUTION: When a fork is raised up to fixed height H and the height becomes h1 while crawlingly descending, one sensor 4a of two photoelectric sensors 4a, 4b provided on the extreme end part detects the right upper end of a reflection tape 3 stuck to the beam of a receiving shelf. When it is succedingly brought down to be height of h2, the other sensor 4b detects the left lower end. The detected signals are impressed on a computing circuit to compute the difference ΔH, and when the value satisfies a set value (a), the fork is raised only by the distance adding fixed height h3 to the height of h1, and stopped. By such constitution, even if shrink packaging is executed, the space part to be the fork insert hole of a pallet can be surely detected.
