Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent generation of various noises by making a stator drivable at a low speed through a burst driving method and by raising a driving frequency to the range enabling prevention of generating an audible sound. CONSTITUTION:A diaphragm composed of electrostrictive elements constituting the stator of an oscillatory wave motor is so constructed as to have a wave number larger than that of a diaphragm heretofore in use. Since a resonance frequency f0 is inversely proportional to the square of a wavelength l, the resonance frequency f0 can be made higher by the increase of said wave number of the diaphragm so that various noises may be removed from the audible range.
