Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the cost, by using a driving signal in common with multiple sets of ultrasonic motors so that the driving signal may be applied to an ultrasonic motor selected by a switching means. CONSTITUTION:The 1st and 2nd ultrasonic motors 2 and 9 are connected to a common drive circuit 10 and driven by the output signal of a common drive frequency outputted from this drive circuit 10. The drive circuit 10 receives power supply from a power source 11 and has got a variable frequency oscillation circuit 12, a switching circuit 13, and a driving signal circuit 21 composed of high frequency transformers 14a-14b and a frequency tracking circuit 15. The drive circuit 10 is constituted by adding to the above a switching means composed of a motor selection circuit 17 and a switching control circuit 16. The switching control circuit 16 selects either of the ultrasonic motors driven by the drive circuit 10 as well as the motor selection circuit 17 and is connected to high frequency transformers 14a-14b.
