Abstract

PURPOSE:To maintain straightness of a glass bulb high enough by interposing a supporting body capable or adjusting axis positions of an electron gun section, a high frequency circuit section, and a collector section secured to a case base at least at one position between said sections thereby aligning the axis positions of said sections. CONSTITUTION:A high frequency circuit section 2 of a travelling-wave tube is secured to a case base 4 with a supporting base 5 consisting of two parts 5a, 5b and capable of adjusting its position. A longitudinal groove 8 is formed in the lower part 5a secured to the base 4 so that the upper part 5b is fit into the groove 8 to be freely slidable in the vertical directions. The high frequency circuit section 2 is supported to the upper portion of the upper part 5b by means of an attaching cover 7. A tightening screw 6 is arranged in an elongated hole 5c formed in said part 5a to be screwed with the upper part 5b. The opposite side of the part 5b is engaged with the external surface of the part 5a via a washer so that the position of the circuit section 2 is adjustable. Connecting an electron gun section 1 and a collector section 3 to the circuit section 2, positional adjustment is performed with the relative positions of the parts 5a, 5b.
