Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent a loss in collecting the sunlight, by providing a compact parabolic convex mirror, opposite to a parabolic concave mirror, with its center line and focus position aligned to those of the parabolic concave mirror, and by providing a control device and a driving device to turn the center line of the concave mirror toward the sun. CONSTITUTION: A horizontal projected line of the center line P-X of a driving shaft runs from north to south, and an angle HPX is equal to the latitude of an installation place. A center line M is corrected for the revolution by an oil cylinder 15. A center line M runs in the direction of a line Q-Y and an angle PQY reaches 90 deg. at the vernal equinox and the autumn equinox, an angle PQW reaches (90-β) at the summer solstice, and an angle PQS reaches (90+β) at the winter solstice. β is the inclination of the earth axis. Under this condition, the sun is tracked by rotating a shaft 3 at a speed equal to the autorotation speed of the earth. The sunlight received by a parabolic concave mirror 8 is turned into a parallel luminous flux with a small cross section at a focus by the parabolic convex mirror 10. It passes through an aperture 11 in the center of a concave mirror and is reflected by a plane mirror 23 which inclines by 45 deg. to a line P-X at the vernal equinox and the autumn equinox. The reflected light is always turned toward a plane mirror 24 on an extended line of the shaft 3 by a designated gear mechanism regardless of the season, and is efficiently transmitted to a required place by an appropriate means.
