Abstract
PURPOSE:To solubilize >=55% of suspended org. matters by adding a specified amt. of cellulolytic enzyme to waste water contg. suspended org. matters, and proceeding anaerobic treatment of the waste water at 20-40 deg.C, 5.0-7.0pH for 3-6 days. CONSTITUTION:>=1%, pref. >=5% (basing on the solid content of the waste water) cellulolytic enzyme is added to suspended org. matters contained in org. waste water. Then, reactions are proceeded under anaerobic conditions at 20-40 deg.C reaction temp., 5.0-7.0pH for 3-6 days reaction time. Thus, volatile org. acids are formed by solubilizing >=55% suspended org. matters. Since 4.5pH which is an optimum value of pH for the added enzyme, is not desirable because solubilization of suspended org. matters is caused and progress of generating reaction of volatile org. acids is inhibited, >=5.0pH and near neutral range of pH is preferred.
