Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the adhesion of garbage to a shredding part by adding the dehydrating agent consisting essentially of a highly water-absorptive resin to the shredded garbage, and heating the admixture to absorb water. CONSTITUTION:The garbage to be treated is placed in a vessel 1, and a cutter 3 is rotated to shred the garbage into a slurry. An appropriate amt. of the dehydrating agent consisting essentially of a highly water-absorptive resin is charged into the slurry, and the cutter 3 is further rotated to shred the admixture. The water in the garbage is absorbed by the dehydrating agent during kneading, and the garbage is caked. By this method, the disposal of garbage is facilitated.
