Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the titled compound which is a gastrointestinal hormone having pancreatic digestive enzyme releasing action in high yield, by converting cholecystokinin pancreozymine nonsulfate derivative into sulfate derivative using allyl sulfotransferase. CONSTITUTION:p-Methylbenzhydrylamine polymer is reacted with amino acids having protected alpha-amino group in the presence of a condensing agent according to the amino acid sequence of a compound and the amino-protecting groups are then removed. The above-mentioned operations are repeated to synthesize a peptide chain, which is then treated with hydrogen fluoride to eliminate the peptide from the polymer and afford a cholecystokinin pancreozymine nonsulfate derivative, which is subsequently reacted with p-nitrophenyl sulfate in the presence of allyl sulfotransferase to provide a sulfate derivative. Thereby the aimed compound having the formula (X1 is Met or Val; X2 is Ile or Met; X3 is Val or Ile; X4 is Asn or Ser).
