Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption by providing a selection means selecting either a storage data of a memory means or an output of an image pickup means, a display means displaying visually the output of said selection means and a power interruption means interrupting power supply to said image pickup means in selecting the storage data of said memory means by means of the selection means. CONSTITUTION:A MEM signal goes to '1' for one frame period in response to the release operation and a data by one frame is written in a memory 16. Then MEM, REC, MOV signals go respectively to '0', '1', '0', a register 18 outputs a storage data of the memory 16 and an output of the register 20 goes to a high impedance. Thus, a still picture stored in the memory 16 is displayed on an LCD panel 24. By being the REC signal at level '1', the output of an inverter 34 goes to '0', and an analog switch 36 is opened. Thus, no power is supplied to a CCD image pickup element 10 and a CCD driving circuit 12 to save the power consumption in the still picture display.
