Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable highly accurate measurement of a current with limited effect of a positional deviation due to changes in vibration and temperature when and after a magnetic field detector section is set, by arranging a magnetic field detecting section, a light emitting section, a light receiving section, a fiber and the like. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic field generated in the perimeter of a conductor 110 by a current flowing therethrough 110 is gathered to a core 101 and a magnetic flux passing through the core 101 is developed as current with a first coil 102 to be converted to a magnetic field with a second coil 103 connected to the coil 102. Then, a magnetic field detecting section 111 is provided in the coil 103 and light led to one of optical fibers 112 from a light emitting section 104 is guided to a light receiving section 105 through the other of the fibers 112 intensity modulated to be converted into an electrical signal, which enables measurement of current. The core 101, the coils 102 and 103 and the detector section 111 are fixed with a resin or the like to avoid measuring errors due to a positional deviation. Moreover, the magnetic field is almost even in the coil 103 except for both ends thereof thereby enabling a reduction in effect of a positional deviation due to changes in vibration and temperature after the fixation with the resin.
