Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an automatic surveying apparatus having highly accurate stability and excellent use durability, by connecting a base cylinder equipped with a laser oscillator and a follower cylinder equipped with a target for projecting laser beam in a shakable manner. CONSTITUTION:A main cylinder 1 is arranged on a linear line R such as a road so as to be turned to a reference direction line and a follower cylinder 3 is arranged on the line R. Since the cylinders 1, 3 are connected by a coaxial spherical surface joint means 6, the cylinder 3 takes the angle corresponding to the curvature of the line R with respect to the cylinder 1. The laser beam (b) from the laser oscillator 2 of the cylinder 1 is projected on the target 4 of the cylinder 3 to form a laser spot S. By this method, since the cylinders 1, 3 are bent by the means 6 when the line R has a curvature, the spot S on the target 4 moves from the center thereof and the spot S' at this time is detected by an imaging means 5 and displacement quantity is operated and analyzed by an operational processing part (CPU) 15 to calculate the curvature or bending angle of the line R. Since the means 6 is arranged at the almost intermediate part between the cylinders 1, 3, relatively large displacement is obtained even under the same curvature condition and a measuring error ratio is lowered and measuring accuracy is enhanced.
