Abstract
PURPOSE: To always check a robot or the like in operation by making a self- diagnosis checking a normality of an information processing section, checking an abnormality of an image input line from a camera, and checking a normality of an image processing section. CONSTITUTION: Normality is considered to satisfy all three conditions; TOTAL check for checking a P-ROM is normal; histogram data of a camera input image are not concentrated to a lowest level of brightness or a highest level of brightness; a number of pixels are changing comparing with those of previous images in two to three levels of brightness among levels of brightness adapting to a background in the histogram data of the camera input image. Processing time for checking normality is much shorter than processing time for a supervisory cycle thereby, so check for normality can be assembled into the supervisory cycle.
