Abstract
PURPOSE:To economically obtain an amino acid, sugar or aliphatic acid using a simple raw material and reaction conditions, by reacting an aldehyde in the presence of sulfide ion, as necessary with ammonia, hydroxylamine or carboxylic acid. CONSTITUTION:In the presence of sulfide ion, respectively, as necessary, together with magnesium or transition metal, i) an aldehyde is reacted with ammonia or hydroxylamine, as necessary together with a carboxylic acid or cyan compound added or ii) aldehyde is reacted or iii) aldehyde is reacted with a carboxylic acid to advantageously provide each i) amino acid, ii) sugar or iii) fatty acid. The above-mentioned method can be carried out using a simple reaction apparatus and treatment thereof is facilitated as well as the aimed compounds are all L-amino acid and D-sugar like natural product and advantageously obtained without requiring trouble racemate resolution treatment.
