Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent penetration of flame by interposing an inorganic liner between thermohardening fiber reinforced prepregs. of an interior fitting for airplane formed by laminating the prepregs. plus DECOLA sheets over and under a honeycomb core. CONSTITUTION:An interior fitting for airplane is formed from thermohardening fiber reinforced prepregs. 2a, 2b of epoxy resin etc., and DECOLA sheets 3a, 3b, which are laminated over and under a honeycomb core 1 in a sandwich structure. Flame penetration preventive layers 4a, 4b in the form of sheet are interposed between these prepregs. 2a, 2b, and they are formed into a single body. These flame penetration preventive layers are made from metal material (foil of aluminum, titanium, etc.) and inorganic liner (sheet of ceramic, mica, etc.). This conforms to the new U.S. specifications for combustion tests (FAA).
