Abstract

PURPOSE:To suppress the distortion of a picture according to a rapid load change due to a beam current by detecting the change of a video signal, and controlling the feed of a high voltage control forward. CONSTITUTION:The primary color signals of R, G, B from video signal input terminals 12-14 are added in an addition circuit 15. This added output is supplied to a video signal change detecting circuit 17. A transistor TR 18 is controlled by this detecting signal 17 and the output voltage 19 of the TR 18 is added to a reference voltage 9. A voltage comparator 10, at the time of generating a difference between a voltage obtained by adding the output voltage 19 to the reference voltage 9 and a detected voltage 8, generates a difference voltage 11. The high voltage control circuit 1 is controlled by this difference voltage 11 to constantly maintain a high output voltage. Thereby, the fluctuation of the high output voltage generated according to the rapid change of the beam current due to the rapid change of the video signal can be corrected. Accordingly, the distortion of the picture can be suppressed.
