Moreover, in the present invention, the inner upward engaging piece 12 and the outer upward engaging piece 1
1 is such that it is integrally secured to the upper furniture 4, so that the seismic metal fitting 5 has the advantage of being integrated with the upper furniture 4 in the above-mentioned attached state. For example, in the usage state shown in FIG. 14A, if the right end of the upper furniture 4 is about to lift up as shown in the figure due to lateral shaking caused by an earthquake, firstly, each of the upper furniture 4 is Since each of the downward engaging pieces 10 of the left and right seismic fittings 5 that are locked in place grips the lower furniture 3, it exhibits resistance against the above-mentioned uplift and prevents a large uplift. effective.

In contact with the upper furniture 4, it exhibits a large resistance against sideways sliding, and has the effect of preventing the upper furniture 4 from falling due to sideways sliding. Moreover, this effect is greatly exhibited because the above-mentioned uplift is small.

度の高いものである。 As described above, the earthquake-resistant metal fitting of the present invention overcomes many of the drawbacks of the conventional earthquake-resistant metal fitting 40 shown in FIG. Under the same conditions, firstly, the upper furniture cannot show any resistance to the uplifting, so it will easily be lifted up even by a small lateral shake, and secondly, when the upper furniture lifts up, the lateral sliding force of the upper furniture will be reduced. If the force is applied, the metal fittings 40 will fall down as shown in the same figure, and will not exhibit much resistance against the upper furniture's sideways sliding, allowing the upper furniture to fall.Thirdly, in the above case, the upper furniture may accidentally fall. Even if the furniture does not fall, the upper furniture remains in its fallen state (without any force to prevent it from sliding sideways).
This is extremely useful as it can solve all of the numerous drawbacks of being left completely defenseless if the metal fitting 40 is stepped on and subjected to another lateral shake.

While the downward engaging pieces 7 and 10 are made to hang straight downward, the first outer upward engaging piece 8 and the inner upward engaging piece 9, the second outer upward engaging piece 11 and Since it has a structure in which the inner upward engaging pieces 12 are each raised straight upwards, when furniture for general use is stacked, that is, in the case of lower furniture, the corners of the upper surfaces thereof are flat surfaces. On the other hand, when stacking pieces of furniture in which the outer and inner surfaces of the adjacent side panels of the lower part of the upper furniture are both flat surfaces, each of the four corners of the upper surface of the lower furniture Then, simply place the base plate 6 of each metal fitting 5 on top of each corner from directly above each corner, and then lower the upper furniture in a straight motion, i.e. With the simple operation of lowering the four corners of the lower part of the upper furniture from directly above the board 6 of each metal fitting 5 onto those boards 6, it can be moved to the left side against the back and forth shaking during an earthquake. The two earthquake-resistant metal fittings 5 installed and the two earthquake-resistant metal fittings placed on the right side can exert the above-mentioned effects 1 to 3, respectively, and can also be used to prevent vibrations in the left-right direction. In this case, the above-mentioned first to third
This method is useful in that it can highly reliably prevent stacked furniture from falling over due to an earthquake. Furthermore, although it is possible to firmly prevent the relative lateral displacement of the upper and lower furniture in stacked furniture as described above, the above-mentioned base plate, downward engaging piece, inner side and outer upward Since the engagement piece is formed by bending a single metal plate, it can be mass-produced at low cost using a press machine or the like.
