Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce cogging force, by dividing respective magnetic poles of a primary magnetic circuit into a first and a second sections so that the crests of teeth are made into areas equalling each other. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic pole 40a is divided into a first section 40a1 and a second section 40a2 so that the areas of the crests of gears become the same. The first section 40a1 and the second section 40a2 are formed by deviating the pitch tau of the teeth of the magnetic poles by tau/8 and -tau/8 respectively with respect to a moving direction so that thrusts due to the fluxes of permanent magnets, not shown in a diagram, are generated in the directions reverse to each other. Accordingly, cogging forces, generated in the first section and the second section of respective magnetic poles 40a-40d, are the cogging forces having periods, whose phases are deviated by tau/8 with each other or tau/4, therefore, the cogging forces of both sections are offset whereby the cogging force of a motor can logically be approached to zero.
