Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a gel in a resin layer by incorporating a specified amount of a phenolic type antioxidant, in a master batch contg. a titanium dioxide pigment which is compounded in a polyolefin coating layer mounted on a photographic emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:The phenolic type antioxidant is incorporated in the master batch contg. the titanium dioxide which is compounded in the polyolefin coating layer mounted on the photographic emulsion layer in an amount of 5ppm-150 ppm based on the master batch. The polyolefin resin diluting the master batch contains said oxidant of 45ppm-650ppm. The larger mol.wt. of said oxidant leads to the larger effectiveness. The oxidant is exemplified by a phenolic type radical chain termination agent such as tetrakis [methylene-3(3,5-di-t-butyl-4- hydrophenyl)propionate] methane, etc. Thus, the generation of the gel in the photographic emulsion layer can be prevented.
