Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the quality in bend molding without rough surface on the molded parts by conducting the bending molding of the substrate with magnetic lines of force from a superconductor or a magnet. CONSTITUTION:The molding tool is provided with a magnet on one of the mold 6 and the substrate to be bent 1 and with a superconductor 7 which generates magnetic lines of force in the opposite direction on the other. When the substrate 1 is positioned on the mold 6, the minus effect caused by compensation in the magnetic lines between the magnet and the superconductor floats the substrate at a certain distance from the surface. For example, molten glass is used as a substrate, this phenomenon kept it bent along the mold surface by its weight, until it solidifies. Thus, the substrate can be bent in a desired form.
