Abstract

PURPOSE:To monitor the interior of a container without arranging electric machinery, by using the transparent rod body piercing through a container to illuminate the interior of the container by the light source from the outside of the container and making it possible to observe the interior of the container from the outside thereof. CONSTITUTION:The first transparent rod body 13 for irradiating the interior of a tank (container) 10 with light, the second transparent rod body 14 for guiding the reflected light of the irradiation light to the outside of the container and a heater 30 as a dew condensation preventing means are provided to the title apparatus. The light from an illumination lamp 17 becomes parallel beam by the lens system 16 on the side of the lamp to pass through the rod body 13 to be changed to light having a necessary irradiation angle by the lens system 19 on the side of an object. The reflected light of the irradiation light enters the rod body 14 by a lens system 25 to be refracted by a lens system 22 and caught as an image by a television camera 30. Further, the rod bodies 13, 14 are heated in the vicinity of the end surfaces thereof by the heater 30 to prevent dew condensation on the end surfaces 15, 21 and the temp. control of heating is performed by the thermostats mounted on the surfaces of the rod bodies 13, 14.
