Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide an electric cooler which is compact and consumes less water by disposing a condenser outside the cabinet and submerging it in a flush tank which can be filled with drain water. CONSTITUTION:A fan device 3 for an evaporator 2 is connected to an electric motor 1. A compressor 4, a resistance pipe 5, the evaporator 2 and a condenser 6 are all connected through the piping 7, and refrigerant is filled in the system. The condenser 6 is disposed outside the cabinet 8, and is submerged under the water surface in a flushing tank 9 for flushed toilet. A water pan 10 is disposed under the evaporator 2, and water in the flush tank is supplied thereto. When the compressor 4 and motor 1 are operated, the evaporator 2 is cooled, and cool air is delivered. Cold water generated in the evaporator 2 is collected in the water pan 10 to be supplied to the flushing tank 9 to cool the water in it. Meanwhile, heat generated in the condenser 6 is absorbed by water in the flushing tank and is discharged with it. Since the flushing tank 9 flushes its water rather regularly, the water temperature in the flushing tank 9 will not rise abnormally high, and so, the water consumption becomes less.
