Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the manufacturing cost of a working platform by a method in which a water working platform consisting of a working base, a float under the base, and columns to support the base is raised or lowered by vertically moving the float without use of a jack. CONSTITUTION:A water working platform 1 is made up of many support columns 2 on the bottom under water, a working base 3 to be vertically moved in a sliding manner along the columns 2, and a sinkable hollow float 4 below the base 3. The base 3 is fixed to the columns 2 by stoppers 5, and water W is supplied into or discharged from the float 4 by a pump 6. A spacer 8 is also set between the base 3 and the float 4, and the base 3 is vertically moved by raising or lowering the float 4 by supply or discharge of water. The needs for oil-pressure jack to vertically move the base 3 can thus be eliminated.
