Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent a material from falling down and being damaged, in a material transfer device in which a belt conveyer and a screw are laid in parallel with each other, by providing a stopper adapted to be opened when the leading end part of a screw flight approaches, on the locus of the leading end part 8 of the screw flight on a conveyer path. CONSTITUTION:A stopper 9 which is adapted to be opened by an air cylinder when the leading end part 8 of a screw flight approaches, is arranged on the locus of the leading end part of the screw flight and on a conveying path 1. Accordingly, the stopper 9 blocks a conveying path 1 to constrain a material 5 until the leading end part 8 of the screw flight approaches. When the leading end part 8 of the screw flight approaches, the stopper 9 is retracted so as to release the material 5 from the constraint thereof, and accordingly, the material 5 makes contact with a groove part 7 in a screw 2 to receive a transfer force for conveying the same. With this arrangement, it is possible to transfer the material 5 without falling down and being damaged.
