Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable an efficient separation of liquid and gas out of a three phase fluidized bed reactor by forming the inlet part of a liquid suction pipe, which vertically penetrates the reactor, into an inverted cone on which a cylindrical inlet port is attached and by arranging more than one spiral baffle plates, which are attached to the outside periphery of that cylindrical port, so that their sides are inclined downward. CONSTITUTION:A three phase fluidized bed is formed by introducing a gas and a liquid into the bottom of a solid particle bed in a reactor 1 through a distributor. The liquid, after passing the fluidized bed, is drawn out of a suction pipe 9, which vertically penetrates the bed at the center, and circulated again to the reactor by a pump set inside or outside of the apparatus. The inlet part of the suction pipe 9 is formed into an inverted conical connecting part 8 on which a cylindrical inlet port 6 of the suction pipe is attached. More than one spiral baffle plate 7 are attached to the outside periphery of this inlet port 6 so that their sides are inclined downward. As a result of these arrangements, it becomes possible to enlarge a steady operation range of the reactor, as a lowering of a delivery performance of the circulation pump is avoided by suppressing a gas to be contained in the sucked liquid.
